HOW TO BOOK A LIMO

Unless your last name is Trump, it is not every day that you arrive at an event in a limousine. Here is a rundown of all of the things you need to think about if you want to book a limo for your prom.

JUMP START Do not miss the boat. Since limos are in high demand during prom season, plan to book yours early. Two to three months before prom should give you enough time to make the arrangements.

HOP IN Limos come in all shapes and sizes. Figure out exactly how many people will be in your group since that will determine the kind of limo you end up with. A basic rule of thumb is that a stretch limo will hold about 8- 10 passengers; super stretch holds 11-14; and any more than 14 you have to be in a SUV Limo like the Cadillac Escalade.

GAS 'N' GO If you are going to ride like a star, prepare to shell out some cash. Renting a limo for the evening will start at around $1000.00 for 10 hours for a 10-passenger limo. If the day of your prom is on one of the big nights, where limos are in short supply, you can expect to pay more in this case. You can keep the cost down by going with a group and splitting the expense. Prices do not vary widely, so remember, you get what you pay for. Company experience, a quality vehicle, and a professional limo driver are worth every penny. Some companies promise things they cannot deliver on. Therefore, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

SPEEDBUMP You will be asked to make a deposit in advance in cash and leave a credit card on file for damages. This is to cover any damages or mishaps that may occur in the limo during the night. This is standard in the industry. Keep everything under control with your group and you will have no problems to deal with post-prom. A parent’s signature is required on the contract. Elect someone’s parent to handle the contract signing and make all passengers aware of the rules, and cost of there share in the limo.

BUCKLE UP It is crucial to find out if the limousine service is licensed by the county and state. If your group is 15 or more passengers the limo driver must have a valid CDL license (commercial drivers license). If the limo holding 15 or more and does not say BA on the license plate, don't book it. This vehicle is operating illegal and has not been approved for more then 14 passengers. TLC licenceing is now required for all limos and drivers. If you do business with Jazz Limousine Service we are covered. Don't get stuck with poor service, a shoddy limo, and a rude driver. Don't put everyone in the limo at risk for booking with a company that is under insured and does not meet the strict requirements that a limo company is required to have. Think safety! This all equals a better quality service. Read your contract carefully. In addition, get an after-hours phone number for someone at the company - just in case you hit a few unexpected curves. Jazz Limousine has got you covered.
